Moroni 2

These are the words that Jesus Christ said privately to each of his twelve disciples as he called them by name and laid his hands upon them at the time of his first appearance.

“In mighty prayer you will call upon my Father in my name. After having done this, you will have his power when you lay your hands on others and give them the Holy Ghost in my name.”

After that, the Holy Ghost was received by everyone whom the disciples laid their hands on in this way.
