The Book of Moroni

Moroni 1

Since completing my abridged account of the Jaredite people I, Moroni, didn’t think that I’d have anything more to say. But I’m still alive and hiding from the Lamanites who will kill me if I am discovered. With the Nephites all gone the Lamanites now fiercely continue their warfare amongst themselves.

All Nephites who don’t repudiate Jesus Christ are put to death. Because I refuse to renounce Jesus Christ I am forced to wander alone for my own safety.

In spite of my previous thoughts to the contrary, I do have a few more things to add that may be of benefit to our descendants in some future day.
