2 Nephi 17

Chapter 17 of the Second Book of Nephi is virtually indistinguishable, word for word, from Chapter 7 of Isaiah from the Old Testament.

Isaiah recounts how he was asked by God to meet with King Ahaz of Judah, and of how God predicted, for Ahaz, the coming of a Messiah born of a virgin who will know to choose good from evil as a young child. Isaiah also predicts how a curse from God will bring the coming of armies and the destruction of the land.
