2 Nephi 12

Chapter 12 of the Second Book of Nephi is virtually indistinguishable, word for word, from Chapter 2 of Isaiah from the Old Testament.

Isaiah predicts that in the last days God’s temple in Jerusalem will be earth’s greatest attraction, and that people will come from everywhere to pay homage to it because in those days the world will be ruled from Jerusalem. God will settle disputes between nations, wars will end, and weapons of war will be converted into instruments of peace. People who have worshipped wealth, false prophets, and idols will cower in fear, and try unsuccessfully to hide from God’s judgment. God will not forgive them for these sins. Idols will be abolished and only God will be held on high. Isaiah admonishes people to stop putting faith in men and doing those things which displease God.
