2 Nephi 11

Jacob said many more things to my people than I can write down, but what I’ve related seems sufficient.

I, Nephi, will now relate more of the words of Isaiah from the plates brought with us from Jerusalem, because he also saw Jesus Christ as my brother Jacob and I have seen him. These ancient words of his prove the truth of what I have said. If Jesus Christ should not come, all men would perish. Without Jesus Christ, there would be no God. Without God, there would be no creation, and we would not exist. But there is a God, and he is Jesus Christ, who will come to us in a time of his own choosing, Isaiah writes to all people.
