2 Nephi 13

Chapter 13 of the Second Book of Nephi is virtually indistinguishable, word for word, from Chapter 9 of Isaiah from the Old Testament.

Isaiah predicts that God will deprive Jerusalem and Judah of food and water, kill their leaders, and destroy their armies and judges. Anarchy will be the rule. God will do this because, as in Sodom, the people have shamelessly refused to abide by his laws and have instead chosen evil. God is angry because the poor have been abused and defrauded by rulers who enrich themselves. The haughty women of Israel who vainly worship their own beauty and ornamentation will be exposed naked, condemned to baldness, and caused to stink. Their husbands will die in battle, leaving them crying in the dirt.
