1 Nephi 21

Chapter 21 of the First Book Nephi is virtually indistinguishable, word for word, from Chapter 49 of Isaiah from the Old Testament.

Isaiah explains how God has chosen him to be his spokesman and prophet. God promises to keep the people of Israel from harm, and to get them released from bondage; and he promises that their present captors will become their slaves. God reminds them that he can no more forget them than a mother can forget her child. When God does this, the world will know that he is the almighty God of Israel.
