Mosiah 3

An angel said to me: Awake, I come to tell you words of great joy. The Lord has heard your prayers. Soon the Lord will come down from heaven and live on the earth as a man. He will go among people working mighty miracles, healing the sick and raising the dead. He will cause the crippled to walk, the blind to see and the deaf to hear.

He will suffer temptations, pain, hunger, thirst and great tiredness even more than any person can suffer. To pay for the sins of the world, His pain will be so great that blood will come from every pore. He will be called Jesus Christ, Son of God, Father of heaven and earth, Creator of all things. His mother will be called Mary.

After all He will do, evil people will whip Him and kill Him. But He will rise from the dead in three days.

He will forgive the sins of those who died without knowing the word of God. But He will not forgive those who keep sinning when they know the gospel, unless they repent and have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.

The Lord God sends his holy prophets to every people. They teach that all who believe in Christ will have forgiveness and great joy.

The Lord saw that His people would be a stubborn people. So He will give many signs about His coming. All people must become like little children: meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things that the Lord sees fit to put on them.
