Mormon 4

The Nephites went to battle, but they were pushed back. While they were still tired, a fresh army of Lamanites came and killed many of the Nephites. Many were taken prisoner. Some ran away to Teancum by the seashore.

It is impossible to describe the horrible scene of the blood and killing. The people became more evil than ever.

The Nephites were mad because the Lamanites had killed their women and children. The Nephites fought with anger and pushed the Lamanites out.

But from this time on, the Nephites had no power over the Lamanites. The Nephites began to be wiped out like the morning dew is wiped out by the sun.

When I, Mormon, saw the Lamanites were about to win, I went to the hill Shim and dug up the record Ammaron had hidden.
