Helaman 14

Samuel also said: In five years, God’s Son will live on the earth. He will save all people who believe on His name.

I give you a sign of His coming. There will be great lights in heaven. On the night before He comes there will be no darkness. A new star will rise, a star unlike any you have ever seen.

There will be many signs and wonders in heaven. You will all be amazed and wonder. Many of you will faint and fall on the ground.

I have climbed up on the city walls so you might hear and know of the judgments of God which will come on you because of your sins. I come to tell you of the coming of Jesus Christ that you could know the signs of His coming.

Now, I give you a sign of His death. Christ must die so salvation may come. His death will bring the resurrection. His suffering for your sins will bring the chance to repent.

In the day that He will suffer death, the sun will be darkened and there will be no light for three days. While His body lays on the earth without His Spirit, there will be thunder and lightning for many hours. The earth will shake and tremble. Rocks will be broken in two. Those broken rocks will be found ever after all over the earth.

There will be great storms. Mountains will become valleys. Valleys will become mountains. Highways will be broken up. Many cities will be destroyed. Then, by the power of God, He will raise His body back to life.

The purpose of these troubles is to help you believe in God. He gives knowledge to make you free. Remember, remember, you are free. You are permitted to act for yourselves. You can choose life or death. You can do good and be given good, or you can do evil and be given evil.
