Helaman 10

Nephi walked back toward his house thinking about what the Lord had shown. As he was pondering and feeling much sadness over the people’s sins, a voice came to him saying: You are blessed, Nephi. I saw how you gave my words to this people. You did not try to save your own life. You only wanted to know my will and to keep my commandments.

Because you have done this without giving up, I will bless you forever. I will make you mighty. Anything you say will happen, because you do not ask anything against my will.

You are Nephi and I am God. I give you power. Whatever you seal on earth will be sealed in heaven; whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

If you say to a building: Be broken in half, it will happen. If you say to a mountain: Be cast down and become smooth, it will happen. If you say God will punish this people, I will punish them. Now I command you to go tell this people that I, the Lord God, who is the Almighty, have said that unless they repent, they will be punished and destroyed.

When the Lord spoke these words, Nephi returned to the people and told them what the Lord said. They yelled at him and tried to capture him. But God’s power was with him and they could not hold him.

He was taken away from them by the Spirit. Nephi then went by the power of the Spirit, telling the word of God from group to group until he had told them all.
