Alma 15

God told Alma and Amulek to leave. As they traveled, they found the people who were thrown out and stoned because they believed in Alma’s words.

Zeezrom became sick with a burning fever made by the guilt of his sins. He thought Alma and Amulek were killed and he blamed himself. When he heard that Alma and Amulek had escaped, his heart took courage.

When Zeezrom saw them, he asked Alma and Amulek to heal him. Alma said: Do you believe in the power of Christ? Zeezrom answered: Yes, I believe all the words you have taught. Then Alma said: If you believe in Christ, you can be healed. O Lord our God, have mercy on this man and heal him according to his faith in Christ.

When Alma said these words, Zeezrom leaped to his feet and began to walk. This amazed all the people.

Alma baptized Zeezrom and all who wanted to be baptized. There were many; people flocked in from all around the land.

Amulek gave up all his gold and silver for God’s word and he went with Alma to Zarahemla. But Amulek’s friends, father, and relatives rejected him.
