Mosiah 6

King Benjamin had a record kept of all the people who had made a covenant to keep God’s commandments. Except for little children, it turned out that everyone had accepted the covenant and taken upon themselves the name of Christ.

King Benjamin blessed his son Mosiah and crowned him as king, appointed priests to remind the people of their promises to keep the commandments of God, then dismissed the crowds. On the day that King Mosiah was crowned, he was 30 years old and 476 years had passed since Lehi’s family had left Jerusalem. [124 BC]

Three years later, Benjamin died. Like his father, King Mosiah also kept the commandments of God and did as God commanded him to do. He farmed the earth with his people and for several years there was peace in the land.
