This is how the elders and priests administered the sacrament of Jesus Christ’s flesh and blood within the church. Because this is how Jesus Christ instructed the disciples to perform this ritual, we know that this is the right way to do it.
The elders and priests kneeled down with the church members and prayed to God the Father in the name of Jesus Christ, saying, “God the Eternal Father, we ask you in the name of your Son, Jesus Christ, to bless and sanctify this bread to the souls of those who eat it. May they eat it in remembrance of the body of your Son. May they bear witness to you, God the Eternal Father, that they are willing to assume the name of your Son, and always remember him, keep his commandments that he’s given to them, and may they always have his Spirit with them. Amen.”
