Mosiah 13

When King Noah heard these words, he said to his priests: Take him away and kill him. He is crazy. But when they tried to take him, Abinadi said: Do not touch me or God will kill you. I still have more to tell you. God will not let you kill me yet. The people did not dare touch him, for the Spirit of the Lord was with him. His face shined with a great glow.

He spoke with power and authority from God. He said: You see you have no power to kill me. I know my words about your sins go deep into your hearts. Yes, my words fill you with wonder and anger. After I finish, you may kill me if you wish. But I warn you, whatever you do to me will happen to you and your people.

But for now you must sit and listen while I read God’s commandments. Do not have any other Gods. Do not use the name of the Lord your God in vain. Remember the Sabbath Day and keep it holy. Do all your work in six days. On the seventh day, do not work. Honor your father and mother.

Do not kill. Do not steal. Do not lie about your neighbor. Do not want your neighbor’s house. Do not want your neighbor’s wife.
