Moroni 8

Now, I will tell you the letter that my father, Mormon, wrote to me before he was killed: My beloved son, Moroni, I am happy the Lord Jesus Christ called you to serve Him in His holy work. I think of you always in my prayers.

My son, I write to you about something that brings me sorrow. I have learned there have been arguments among your people about baptizing little children. This mistake should be stopped.

The word of the Lord came to me by the power of the Holy Ghost, saying: Listen to the words of Christ, your Lord and your God. I came into the world to call sinners to repent. Little children cannot sin. They are innocent and clean. I am filled with charity, which is everlasting love, for all children. I love little children with a perfect love.

Moroni, you must teach parents to repent and be baptized and be humble like their little children. But little children do not need to repent. They must not be baptized.

My son, I will write to you again, if I do not have to battle the Lamanites. The pride of the Nephites will bring death unless they repent. Pray for them. Goodbye, my son, until I meet you again. Amen.
