Helaman 8

Nephi spoke plainly about their secret sins. When Nephi said these words, some wicked judges got angry. They yelled at him, saying: Grab this man and punish him. Others cried out: Let this man alone. He is a good man. The things he says will surely happen if we do not repent.

Those people who wanted to kill Nephi were afraid to touch him. Nephi began again to speak: My brothers, God gave power to Moses to part the Red Sea. If God gave one man such power, why do you say God has given no power to me? You deny my words and the words of our fathers. They all said the Son of God will come.

Our father Lehi was driven out of Jerusalem because he told of these things. Nephi also testified of these things. Almost all of our fathers, even down to this time, have testified of the coming of Christ.

You have rejected the truth and fought against your holy God. Even now, instead of storing up treasures in heaven, you are piling up sins. Unless you repent, God’s anger will come on you soon.
