Alma 7

Alma said: I have come with great hope to find you humbled before God and not in the awful situation that our brothers were in at Zarahemla.

God has told me they are back on the path of goodness. I have joy in them again.

I trust I will also have joy in you. I trust you believe in God. I trust you are not lifted up in pride. I trust you do not put your hearts on riches. I trust you worship the true and living God and you look forward to forgiveness.

Jesus Christ will soon live on the earth. He will suffer pains and temptations of every kind. He will overcome death and take on Him the sins of His people.

You must repent and be born again. Come and be baptized to wash away your sins. Have faith in the Lamb of God. He is mighty to save. Show God you are willing to be baptized. Promise that you will keep His commandments. If you are baptized and keep God’s commandments, you will have eternal life.

I know you believe these things. You are in the path that leads to the kingdom of God. My joy in you is great. Be humble. Be gentle and easy to be asked. Be full of patience and long-suffering. Be moderate in all things. Keep God’s commandments at all times.

Ask God for what you need, both for your mind and body. Always return thanks to God for the things you are given. Have faith, hope and charity, then you will have good works. May the Lord bless you for your faith and good works, from this time and forever. Amen.
