Alma 45

The people of Nephi were happy because the Lord saved them again. They gave thanks to God. They fasted and prayed much and worshiped God with great joy.

Alma came to his son Helaman and said to him: Do you believe the words I spoke to you about the records that have been kept? Helaman said: Yes, I believe. Alma asked: Do you believe in Jesus Christ? He said: Yes, I believe all the words you spoke. Alma asked again: Will you keep my commandments? Helaman said: Yes, I will keep your commandments with all my heart.

Alma said: You are blessed. I have more to prophesy to you. What I tell you now, you must not tell others. But write the words which I will say. This prophecy will not be made known until after it happens.

These are the words Alma said: Four hundred years after Jesus Christ is crucified, the Lamanites and Nephites will fight until all the Nephites are killed.

After these words were written, Alma blessed his sons; and blessed the people of the church. Then Alma went out of the land. He was never heard from again. Many in the Church thought Alma was taken up to God like Moses.
