My son, Shiblon, you have looked to the Lord your God in your youth. I have had great joy in you already, because of your faithfulness and patience. Be moderate in all things. Be bold, but not pushy.
Control your feelings, so you may be filled with love. Do not pray as the Zoramites; do not say: O God, I thank you that we are better than our brothers. Say instead: O Lord, forgive my unworthiness. Remember my brothers in mercy. Admit your unworthiness before God at all times.
Now go and teach God’s word. My son, farewell.
