3 Nephi 6

The Nephites returned to their lands in the twenty-sixth year. Every family took their flocks and herds, horses and cattle and all their things.

They began again to prosper and grow rich. Order and peace was in the land. They formed laws for equality and justice. Now there was nothing to stop them from being blessed, as long as they did not sin.

Many new cities were built; many old cities were repaired. Many roads were made which led from city to city and land to land.

In the twenty-ninth year, there began to be some arguing among the people. Some were lifted up in pride because of their great riches.

There were many lawyers and businessmen and many officers. The people began to be separated by their riches and their chances for learning. Some were not taught because they were poor; others had great learning because they were rich. Some were lifted up in pride and others were humble. Some returned yelling with yelling, while others would be yelled at but would not yell back.
