2 Nephi 25

Six hundred years after my father left Jerusalem, the Son of God will live on the earth. The Jews will reject him and crucify Him. After his body lays in a tomb for three days, he will rise from the dead. Then Jesus will show himself to people who believe in him. All who believe will be saved in the kingdom of God.

Jerusalem will again be destroyed. Awful punishments come to anyone who fights against God and the people of his church. The Jews will be scattered among all nations. God will punish them by other nations for many years until the Jews believe in Jesus.

The day will come when the Jews will believe Jesus Christ is God’s Son, the great Messiah, the Holy Redeemer and Savior of all people. They will worship the Father in the name of Christ with pure hearts and clean hands.

There is no other person except Jesus Christ who can save you. We work hard to help our children and families to believe in Christ. For after people do all they can do, they are saved only by the mercy of God.

We talk of Christ. We are happy in Christ. We preach of Christ. We prophesy of Christ so our children may know where to look for forgiveness of their sins.

My people in the last days [Indians] will be stubborn. I speak plainly so you must understand. These words are enough to teach anyone the right way.

The right way is to believe in Christ and not reject him. Christ is the Holy One of Israel. You must bow down to God and worship him with all your might, mind and strength and your whole soul. If you do this, you will have eternal life.
