2 Nephi 30

Now I don’t want you to think you’re better than Gentiles. It’s all about performance. Some of them are better than you. The only real chosen people are the ones who live right, improve all the time, and believe in the Anointed One. Jews will get thrown on the scrap pile as much as Gentiles.

After the aforementioned book starts making the rounds, the Gentiles will start publicizing it to … that’s right, your descendants, who by then will have completely forgotten about us and our struggles, not to mention all the things we built and taught. Only through the Gentiles will our seed know that they are from Israel. The Gentiles will teach them the Good News about Jesus Christ, which we already know about but won’t live long enough to live through.

In turn, our seed will sing and dance for joy. They’ll call feasts. They’ll hold all-night parties. They will go from blindness to super-vision. At the same time, their skin will lighten, as will their dispositions. In fact, Jews everywhere will start to believe in Jesus Christ, many of them relocating to our country.

This is all the beginning of God’s big project to change everyone’s mind about him around the world, if their minds needed changing. He will finally give some justice to poor people and meek people. Revenge of the Poor and Meek, you might call it. Because God is going to whip his enemies hard.

He’ll also start to divvy up behavioral types: wicked vs. righteous. We know the types. They’ll become more apparent, especially when he starts burning up the wicked like dried weeds. I’m not sure how literally to take that, “burning.” But it will be pretty grisly.

This will be the time, though (as Isaiah mentioned earlier), when animals who hate and chew each other up will start to be friends. (See his list above.) This is literal as well as metaphorical, of course. Sometimes God doesn’t know how to describe people except in terms of other mammals. People understand animals better than they do themselves.

Everyone will know Yahweh eventually. And people will be afraid to dismiss him as they do now. This newfound reluctance will come with an explosion in knowledge about history and about events happening all around the world at any given moment. Nothing that seems secret really will be. Nothing that seems hidden will stay that way. It may be locked up now, but time will break the lock.

This being the case, the devil won’t have much to preside with anymore. It’s hard to control people who really know things for themselves.
