Moroni's Message to Joseph Smith

Now I, Moroni, have engraved what I have been commanded, according to my memory. I have told you what I have sealed up, so do not touch that part or attempt to translate it, for that is forbidden until God permits. You may be privileged to show the plates to those who will help bring forth this work. You will show them to three men by God’s power, and they will know for sure that these things are true. By three witnesses these things will be established. Their witness and this work will stand as a testimony against the world at the last day. This work will be shown to you by God’s power, and also by His word—of which the Father, the Son and the Holy Ghost bear record.

If the people of the world repent and come to the Father in the name of Jesus, they will be received into His kingdom. And if you feel that I, Moroni, have no authority over these things, you may judge this book accordingly. But regardless of how you judge, you will know that I do have authority when you see me—when we stand together before God at the last day. Amen.
