Mormon 7

Now I write to the remnant descendants of my people who are spared, in hopes that God will provide them with my words so that they will know something of their ancestors.

You are descended from the family of Israel.

Unless you repent you cannot be saved.

You must lay down your weapons, unless God commands otherwise, and stop finding pleasure in killing.

You must gain knowledge of your ancestors, repent for all of your sins, and believe in Jesus Christ, the Son of God, who was killed by the Jews and arose from death by the power of God. In so doing he has claimed victory over death for himself and for mankind. He will bring about the resurrection of the dead, who afterward will stand before him in judgment. In this judgment he will bring the redemption of the world to those who are found guiltless on judgment day. Those people who are chosen will live eternally in God’s kingdom, in his presence, singing endless praises with the choir above, to the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost. They will reside in a state of happiness without end.

So repent and be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Take hold of the gospel of Jesus Christ that will be set down before you both in this record, and in the record that will come to you through the Gentiles from the Jews. I write with the intent that you should believe the words that the Gentiles will bring to you. If you believe those words, then you should also believe these words. Believe what I tell you about your ancestors and believe the amazing things that have been created by the power of God among them.

You are remnant descendants of the family of Israel. You are counted among the people of God’s first promises. If you believe in Jesus Christ, are baptized in his name, first with water, and then with fire of the Holy Ghost, all will be well with you on judgment day. So follow the example of Jesus Christ, and do as he has commanded us to do.
