Moroni 10

More than four hundred twenty years have passed away since the birth of Christ. I will soon seal up these records. But first I, Moroni, write to my brothers, the Lamanites [Indians].

When you read these things, think about them in your heart. Ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these words are true. If you ask with a true heart, with faith in Christ, He will show you by the power of the Holy Ghost that these words are true. And you will know Christ lives and that He is your Savior.

By the power of the Holy Ghost, you can know the truth of all things. So, do not reject the power of God. Do not reject the gifts of God.

God gives some people the gift to teach by the Holy Spirit. He gives other people great faith. He gives some persons the gift of healing. He gives other people power to work mighty miracles. He gives some persons the gift to prophesy about all things.

All these gifts come by the Spirit of Christ. They come to every person according to God’s desires. Remember, every good gift comes from Christ.

You must have faith, hope and charity to be saved in God’s kingdom. If you do not have hope, you will be in awful sadness. This sadness comes because of sin.

Remember these things. The time will quickly come when you will see me at God’s throne. God will say to you: I gave my words to you, written by this man.

God will show you the things I have written are true. So come to Christ and hold on to every good gift. Awake and arise from the dust.

Come to Christ. Resist all evil. Believe in God’s word. Be made clean by Christ. In His mercy, He can make you perfect.

I say goodbye to all. I soon go to rest in the paradise of God, until my spirit and body come together again. I will meet you at the pleasing seat of the great Lord Jehovah, the Eternal Judge of all. Amen.
