The Book of Jarom

Jarom 1

I, Jarom, am the son of Enos. My father told me to write a few words about the people. Many among us have visions. We are not all stubborn. Those who have faith are blessed with the Holy Spirit.

In the two hundredth year, the Nephites were strong in the land. They kept the Law of Moses and kept the Sabbath Day holy. They did not swear.

We became rich in gold, silver, fine wood, buildings, machinery, iron, copper, brass and steel. We made all kinds of tools to farm the ground. We made all kinds of weapons, sharp pointed arrows, the dart and the javelin to defend ourselves from the Lamanites.

The prophets, priests and teachers worked hard to help the people repent, look to the Lord, and believe in Him as if He had already come.
