Jacob 4

I, Jacob, can write only a few of my words, because of the difficulty of writing words onto these metal plates. But if we write on anything else, it will wear off in time. So we work hard to engrave these words on plates, hoping you will read them with thankful hearts.

We have written these things to show we knew of Christ many hundreds of years before he came to earth. We have many visions and prophecies. With all this proof, our faith is strong. In the name of Jesus, we can command the trees, or mountains, or waves of the sea to obey us.

God shows us our weakness. We know it is by his mercy and love that we are given power to do these things. By God’s power, the world was created. By his word, people came on the earth. It is impossible for people to find out all his ways. The only way to know God is when he sends revelations by the Holy Ghost.
