Moriancumer wrote the things he saw. The Lord commanded that those writings should not come to the people until after he was lifted up on the cross. King Mosiah had kept them secret for this reason, until after Christ showed himself to his people.

I, Moroni, was told by the Lord to write what Moriancumer saw. He told me to seal them. Jesus said to me: These words will not go to the Gentiles [the people in the latter days] until they repent of their sins and become clean before the Lord.

When the Gentiles show faith in me like Moriancumer, I will show them the things I showed Moriancumer. I will unfold all my revelations, says Jesus Christ, the Son of God, the Father of the heavens and of the earth.

People who fight against my word will be cursed. Those who deny these things will be cursed and I will show them no greater things. I am Jesus Christ. My word can open and shut the heavens. My word will shake the earth.

Those who believe my words believe my disciples. If you believe the things I have spoken, I will visit you with my Spirit. Then you will know my words are true.

Whatever teaches you to do right is from me. I lead people to all good. I am the Father, the light and the life and the truth of the world. Come to me and I will show you greater things that are still hidden. Come to me and you will see how great are the things the Father has saved for you from the beginning of the world.

Then you will understand the revelations I gave to my servant John the Revelator. When you see these prophecies, you will know the time is near for these things to happen.

Repent; come to me. Believe in my gospel; be baptized in my name. If you believe and are baptized, you will be saved; but if you do not believe, you will be damned.

Blessed are those who are faithful to my name at the last day; they will be lifted up to live in the kingdom of God. It is I, Jesus Christ, that has said it. Amen.
