3 Nephi 2

The Nephites began to count the years from when the sign came. Nine years passed since the sign of Christ’s birth. The people began to be less and less amazed at the signs and wonders from heaven. They began to say miracles were tricks done by men and by the devil.

In the thirteenth year, there were wars and trouble all over the land. The Gadianton robbers grew so much that both the Nephites and the Lamanites had to make weapons to fight them. The war between the robbers and the people became terrible.
